Luxury Bathroom Design
Direct access on the Occoquan River makes for a wonderful backyard for this client’s recently renovated custom built home, which the couple plans to make their forever abode. The owners bathroom suite however had yet to be done which led to a call to AElise Designs.
Our objective was to create a luxurious and functional space that would complement their bedroom and closet areas with a homage to beach chic styling minus nautical or rustic elements. The old bathroom had an oversized tub (not wanted by the clients), poorly lit cramped shower, and tight spaced vanity sinks. By eliminating the tub we created a large, light and airy custom curbless entry shower, complete with inside wall reinforcement for future custom grab bar installation. If need be for the future, open space flow is now available for wheel chair accessibility. Providing increased storage was accomplished with wider vanities centered by a dedicated knee height vanity for grooming purposes.
Upon entrance to this bathroom, the large format novabell imperial crema floor heated tile adds a note of beachy yet luxurious glamour. Flat surface pebble tile featured in the shower “spills out” dramatically beyond the shower door into the adjacent water closet. Pebble tile used for the vanity backsplash completes the beach chic style so desired by my clients.
