It is often said that the kitchen is the heart of the home. The bathroom plays an equal role as it relates to our use of it to relax and recharge – and as such is the soul of the home.
This remodeled primary bathroom features a smoothing palette of cream, mellow blues and teak- quite a spa-like contrast compared to the former builder grade bathroom that had drab beige and muddy green finishes with poor lighting. A water damaged shower had been taken to the studs which rendered the space virtually useless for the client for an extended period. And although there was plenty of square footage no storage existed. Think pedestal sinks with no cabinetry and no linen shelving!
The client desired a “calming and soulful” experience complete with a soaking tub, expanded shower, discreet toilet area and loads of functional storage. It was also important to deliver a transitional style aesthetic which honored her Middle Eastern roots.
We created a design that honors the clients’ wish list with additional enhancements:
Dual vanities with a seated space with a designated hair tools drawer and shelve pull outs.
Spacious tall linen cabinet with pull-out shelves
Inspired by a lotus flower, a petal shaped LED flush mount chandelier brings dramatic focus to the ceiling
Soaking tub with multi-use teak tray
Showering space with a mosaic tiled niche and quartz bench
Water closet toilet space created by a pony wall with unusual yet practical interior shelving
