Thriving into the future

Luxury Bathroom Design

To meet a professional couple’s needs to maximize space, openness and clutter-free storage, the designer opted for an inviting, soothing and contemporary trend aesthetic.  A wall hung frameless vanity and frosted glass barn door opens up the door clearance & floor space, and layers of lighting provide for various levels of eye friendly grooming and accent needs.

Universal design principles were implemented by fortifying interior walls with construction blocking; this allows for future placement of grab bars at the tub wall, shower enclosure and toilet water closet room. Upon entering the space, one’s attention is immediately drawn to the three dimensional tile accent wall with cherry shelving – a most appropriate focal point for the free-standing soaker tub.

The revitalized space marries a neutral palette with warm cherry cabinetry wood tones and natural stone mosaic tile backsplash. We opted for polished nickel fittings and accessories to compliment the warm tile undertones.  To maximize storage and light reflection, two inset “uplift” medicine cabinet were installed.

Glossy large format porcelain wall tiles further frames the room, water closet and no-threshold entry doorless shower.  These elements harmonize well to create an edited, yet detailed and “thriving into the future” space to the delight of the client couple.
